Editorial Standards & Content Review

These standards explain how Generis Organization approaches insurance education, sources, product details, updates, corrections, and commercial disclosures.

Our goal is to make life insurance and annuity concepts easier to understand without hiding important limitations, tradeoffs, or contract-dependent details. This page describes the standards we aim to apply across the site.

Who creates the content

Kirt Patel, founder of Generis Organization and an independent life insurance and annuity advisor and broker, creates the educational insurance content for which he is named as author. Those guides identify his role directly on the page.

We do not present unnamed departments, medical reviewers, legal reviewers, or editorial staff as participants when they were not involved.

Research and source selection

Research starts with sources suited to the specific claim. Depending on the topic, those may include:

  • insurance contracts, illustrations, disclosures, and carrier materials;
  • state insurance departments, the National Insurance Producer Registry, and the National Association of Insurance Commissioners;
  • federal agencies and tax authorities when a federal rule is relevant; and
  • reputable consumer or professional references used for context.

When a contract and a general explanation differ, the issued contract and applicable law control.

Product and policy features

Insurance products are not uniform. We aim to distinguish general concepts from carrier-specific or contract-specific terms, and to separate guaranteed elements from nonguaranteed assumptions or projections.

Availability, underwriting, riders, charges, crediting methods, surrender terms, benefits, exclusions, and guarantees can vary by insurer, product, state, and applicant. Guarantees depend on the claims-paying ability of the issuing insurer.

Rates, quotes, and examples

A premium, rate, benefit, or illustrated value shown for education is not an offer or a promise of eligibility. Actual terms can depend on age, health, state, coverage amount, underwriting, product design, and carrier rules.

We aim to label examples and their assumptions clearly. A personalized quote or carrier illustration should be evaluated using the current documents provided for that specific case.

Review and updates

Rates, underwriting practices, product availability, regulations, carrier rules, and policy terms can change. We update content when we identify a material factual change, a clearer explanation, a meaningful product or regulatory development, or an error that could affect a reader's understanding.

We do not claim a fixed review schedule that we cannot substantiate. A page's published or updated date should reflect substantive work on that page, not a purely cosmetic change.

Corrections

If you find information that appears inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated, please contact Generis Organization with the page URL and the point in question. We will evaluate the supporting information and correct material errors when warranted.

Corrections are made to improve accuracy and clarity. When a point depends on a specific contract, carrier, jurisdiction, or individual circumstance, we aim to make that limitation clear.

Education versus individualized guidance

Site content is general education. It is not individualized insurance, investment, legal, medical, or tax advice and does not replace a review of your goals, finances, health information, state rules, and actual policy documents.

For legal, tax, medical, or investment questions, consult an appropriately qualified professional.

Compensation and commercial relationships

Generis Organization is an insurance agency. If you apply for and obtain coverage through Generis Organization, the agency may receive compensation from the issuing insurer. Compensation arrangements can vary by carrier and product.

Educational content may discuss products that Generis Organization can help place. That commercial relationship does not change the need to explain meaningful limitations, alternatives, and contract terms.

What readers should verify

Before buying, replacing, borrowing from, withdrawing from, surrendering, or changing an insurance or annuity contract, review the current carrier documents. Confirm costs, guarantees, nonguaranteed elements, access restrictions, surrender charges, loan terms, tax considerations, exclusions, and what could cause coverage or benefits to change.
