Your simple estimate

See How Much Coverage You May Want to Consider

Enter the costs you want to cover and any money you already have set aside. We'll do the math for you.

What costs do you want to plan for?

Choose a type of funeral. Then enter the costs you want us to add. You can change every amount.

Are you planning for burial or cremation?

We'll start with $15,000 for burial or $6,000 for cremation. You can change either amount. “I'm not sure yet” leaves it blank.

Use the amount you want to plan for. This is not an insurance price.

Enter any medical or hospice costs you want to include.

Enter any bills you want to include.

Enter any other costs you want to include.

Optional. Add any extra amount you'd like to leave behind for your loved ones. Some people call this “I love you money”—an extra amount left behind for family after final expenses are covered.

This is only an estimate based on the numbers you entered. It is not an insurance quote or price, and it does not determine whether you qualify for coverage. Your actual coverage options depend on the insurance company, policy, and your application.

How This Estimate Works

We Add Your Costs and Subtract Money Set Aside

We add the costs you entered plus any extra money you want to leave your family. Then we subtract the money you already have set aside.

The math: Total amount to cover minus money set aside equals the amount still needed. The result will never be less than $0.

This tool does not show an insurance price or quote. It does not decide whether you qualify for coverage.

What Costs Should You Include?

Funeral plans

Choose Burial, Cremation, or “I'm not sure yet.” The starting amounts can help you begin, but you can change them. Actual costs may be different.

Medical costs, bills, and other costs

Add any final medical or hospice costs, bills, and other costs you want to cover. Learn more about Final Expense costs and coverage amounts.

What money should you subtract?

Subtract only money you plan to use for these costs. Do not count emergency savings, retirement money, or money needed for something else.

Why You May Choose a Different Amount

Your estimate uses only the numbers you enter. Your actual options may depend on the policy, insurance company, and application review. Read about waiting periods and graded benefits before comparing plans.
